Telephone advice
Telephone advice
When you call the out-of-hours Medical Helpline, you will be connected directly to a doctor asking for your personal identification number and requesting information about your symptoms. It is important to have measured your temperature rectally if there is suspicion of infection or inflammation.
The doctor will determine whether the telephone consultation is sufficient or if you should be examined at one of the clinics.
The doctor will assess whether a home visit is necessary.
The doctor will often recommend that you contact your doctor.

Home visits
When the doctor deems it necessary, a doctor will visit you at home. This occurs in cases where your illness, age, or other factors make it necessary.
A home visit cannot be demanded.
Online Medical Consultation with EYR
Online Medical Consultation with EYR
If you can't wait for an appointment with your general practitioner, you can get a video consultation with a doctor from EYR.
The doctors can assess your health issues, provide advice, and prescribe medication (however, not for addictive substances).
If your condition requires a physical examination or tests such as blood samples, the doctor will refer you to the emergency medical service or your general practitioner.
If your condition is so serious that it requires immediate treatment, you should contact 112 right away.
The video consultation is set up by downloading the EYR app and logging in with MitID. You can then choose a time and doctor or queue for the next appointment.
The wait time is short, often within 10 minutes.
EYR video consultations are available on weekdays from 8-22 and on weekends and public holidays from 10-22.
An online consultation with EYR costs 300 DKK.
However, many can have the consultation cost covered by their insurance company.
On the website, you can see if your insurance company covers the service.
