Nationwide Private Medical Service
Important Information
In a busy daily schedule, finding time for a doctor's visit can be challenging.
Lægevagten.dk collaborates with EYR Medical, which offers online medical consultations.
EYR enables you to access prompt medical assistance via your computer or mobile phone, regardless of your location.
If you cannot wait for your general practitioner or the Emergency Medical Service, you can book a video consultation with a doctor from EYR.
How it works
The consultation takes place via video.
The doctor will assess your health issues, advise, and may issue prescriptions (excluding addictive medications).
Here’s how it works:
- Download the EYR app
- Log in using MitID and book a consultation
- The doctor will call you
Opening Hours
You can book a video consultation on weekdays between 8-22 and weekends and public holidays from 10-22.
Price
Many people can have the consultation costs covered by their insurance. You can check if your insurance is included in the agreement via this link.
If you need to pay for the consultation, the cost is 300 DKK.
Can the doctor issue a prescription?
Yes – the doctors at EYR can issue prescriptions. During the video consultation, the doctor will assess your condition and, if necessary, prescribe medication. The prescription will be sent directly to your preferred pharmacy.
However, highly regulated medications, such as strong painkillers or medication for mental health conditions, typically require an in-person consultation.
If you require urgent medical assistance
If the doctor at EYR determines that your symptoms require an in-person examination on the same day, you will be referred to your general practitioner, the emergency medical service, or an emergency department.
If you are traveling
If you have a stable internet connection, you can book a video consultation while travelling. We recommend downloading the app before you leave.
The public Emergency Medical Service in Denmark cannot assist you while abroad. If you are outside Denmark, you can also choose to visit a local doctor with help from your insurance company.
