Dental Emergency Service

Important information

You pay for treatment at the dental emergency service and at the emergency dentist yourself.

Your municipality covers the cost of treatment for children and young people under 22 years old.

If you are a member of Sygeforsikringen Danmark, there are varying subsidies for treatment.

In case of dental injuries, it’s important to report it to your insurance company. It is free to file a claim, and it can be the basis for payment of acute treatment, follow-up care, and any complications later on.

What can you do yourself?

Toothache, dental pain, and swollen gums can often be relieved with over-the-counter painkillers.
