Stomach Pains

There may be many causes of stomach pains. The most common causes of turns of stomach pains or stomach cramps are gastrointestinal infections (diarrhoea, vomiting and fever) or food poisoning (diarrhoea, vomiting without fever).

As a starting point, a doctor should evaluate all who have stomach pains, unless the ill person knows his/her stomach pain from an earlier experience and knows what the cause is. Other common causes of severe stomach pain are kidney stones, gallstones and appendicitis.
