Rabies

Rabies exists in a number of countries all over the world. Look closer on the map here. Children can come into contact with contagious domestic animals without the parents’ knowledge; this is why there is good reason for vaccinating children. Children who are staying in areas where rabies exists should therefore be vaccinated. All children can be vaccinated.

The vaccination is given as a shot that is repeated after 1 and 3 weeks.

The duration of protection is 2 years.
