Who has Urinary Incontinence?

Urinary incontinence is a very common condition. It is hard to state precise numbers for how many men who suffer from it because many do not seek a doctor and because many are too ashamed to admit it.

It is estimated that 20-40% of all men over 40 suffer from urinary incontinence.

Urinary incontinence affects all ages – but older men are particularly affected. Around one in every five men in the age of 40-50 years, one in every three men in the age 50-60 and around half of the oldest men suffer from urinary incontinence.

Urinary incontinence varies a lot. There may be days or weeks where urination feels completely normal and other days were it feels very uncomfortable.
